The music in NewChapter was rearranged for BloodCovered. Maps and tiles in NewChapter were much smaller than in the PC version due to the small screen size. Many characters were given new portraits. The new character "Sakutaro Morishige" lacked a dialog portrait in NewChapter. Character sprites also remained the same. These changes were retained in the BloodCovered PC port.īloodCovered is an enhanced port of NewChapter, and screenshots of NewChapter suggest that most story elements were retained. The official website lists five additional characters marked only with question marks. The last three characters were not listed on the game's website and are only seen in screenshots.
The students' teacher, Yui Shishido, was added as a playable character in NewChapter. The antagonist, Shinozaki, was only known by her surname throughout CORPSE-PARTY, she was given the name "Sachiko" for NewChapter. The characters Satoshi Mochida, Ayumi Shinozaki, Yoshiki Kishinuma, Naomi Nakashima, and Yuka Mochida return for NewChapter, although with different character designs. Each following chapter follows the previous one's "True End."
NewChapter removes determinant character deaths and instead has several "Wrong Ends" alongside a "True End" for each chapter.
The PC-98 CORPSE-PARTY was a single chapter story and had multiple endings depending who had died during the game.
